GAFFNEY, S.C. – Mary Ellen Gordon Wiggins, 85, of Gaffney, S.C., left for her family reunion at the Gates of Heaven on June 18, 2014, at Brookview Healthcare Center of Gaffney. What a splendid affair it was! She was greeted by her father and mother, the Rev. Vessie Vanburen Gordon and Bertha Louise Eldridge Gordon. Seven of her children were also waiting, along with several grandkids and great-grandkids; it just wouldn't be Heaven without the babies!
The Guest Book is expired.
Those unable to join in this wonderful reunion at this time but wish her Godspeed with plans of joining later are her son, Terry Wiggins of Inman, S.C.; her daughters, Joyce Earls of Mooresboro and Myrtle Bell and husband Eddie of Kings Mountain; and her sister, Louise "Tootsie" Wicks of Gaffney.
Those left behind will help celebrate her departure at the graveside at Oakland Cemetery of Gaffney, S.C., at 11 a.m. Saturday. Her daughter, Joyce Earls will be officiating.
The family wishes to thank all who helped Mary Ellen in preparation for her journey; a special thank you to Dr. Alfred Ezman, who treated her like his own mother.
