KINGS MOUNTAIN - Mrs. Virginia High Jackson was born in Kings Mountain, Nov. 10, 1923, to the late Roy and Gertrude Brown.
She departed this life Aug. 26, 2014 at her home in Atlanta, GA. She received her Bachelor of Science in Education in 1948. She taught in the Kings Mountain School System and later in the West Virginia School System.
Before failing health, Virginia was active at her church, Bynum Chapel, the Order of the Eastern Stars and the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.
Virginia was Survived by three sons: Estoria High (Debra) of Atlanta, Michael High (Dianna) and Robert High of Charlotte, eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren and two great, great children.
Funeral: Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2014, at 11 a.m., Bynum Chapel AME Zion
Visitation: 30 minutes prior to service at church
Burial: Mountain Rest Cemetery
