SHELBY - Mrs. Eula Narron Brown, 90, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 14, 2010, at Cleveland Pines Nursing Center.

A native of Johnson County, she was born on Jan. 6, 1920, to the late Arthur A. and Nora Parnell Narron. She retired from Doran Textiles Sales Department. She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church, the Ruth Sunday school class and Hillary Padgett Mission Group. Eula enjoyed her bible study, playing the piano, gardening and family time with her children, grand-children and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Travis Brown; brothers, Wesley Narron and Clayon Narron; and a son-in-law, William Segrest.
She is survived by her children, son, Dr. Thomas Brown and wife, Lita, of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; daughter, Nancy Segrest of Spartanburg, S.C., sons, Ken R. Brown and wife, Betty Jo, of Hickory and Donald Brown and wife, Peggy, of Greer, S.C.; her sister, Elsie Starling of Naples, Fla.; her loving grandchildren, Dr. Tad Brown Jr., Dr. Alex Brown and wife, Nancy, Dr. Will Brown, David Brown, Brant Segrest and wife, Lee, Neal Segrest, Travis Brown, Kendall Brown Sarah and Stacey Brown, Nick Brown and Tyler Brown; and great-grandchildren, A.J. Brown, Madison Brown and Ava Segrest.
Funeral: Sunday, Jan. 17, 3 p.m., Chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home

Visitation: The family will receive friends one hour before the service, at the funeral home.
