FOREST CITY- Vander Jolley McCraw, 89, of Bethany Church Road, Forest City, formerly of the Cliffside Area, died on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at Autumn Care Nursing Center.
A native of Cleveland County, she was born on March 10, 1923, a daughter of the late Burton Jolley and Bertha McCraw Jolley. She was a homemaker and member of Lavonia Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Belton McCraw; her brothers, Faye Jolley, Bobby Jolley, James Jolley, and Raiford Jolley; her sisters, Elsie Godfrey, Flossie Huskey, Ezma Barnes, and Mable Sue Ruppe; one grandchild, Brandy Splawn.
She is survived by her daughter, Shelba McCraw Splawn and husband, Rusty, of the Chase Community; one son, Bobby McCraw and wife, Ginger Gettys, of Ellenboro; one step-son, Paul McCraw of Winston-Salem; her grandchildren, Howard Splawn, Jennifer Tilley, Jordan Splawn, Vanisha McCraw, Bobbie Jo McCraw, Daniel McCraw, and Denise Haisman.
Visitation: The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. at McKinney-Landreth & Carroll Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Shelba Splawn.
Funeral Service: Wednesday, 3 p.m. at Lavonia Baptist Church
