SHELBY- Mrs. Lyda Hamrick, 90, of Shelby, passed away at Cleveland Pines Nursing Center on Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012. A native of Burke County, she was the daughter of the late John Moses and Mary Chapman Moses Gibson. She retired from Lily Mill Company. She was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church, where she was a member of the W.M.U. She was a loving wife and mother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, A. V. Hamrick; and a sister, Helen Underwood.
She is survived by a son, Wayne Hamrick of Shelby; daughter, Donna Graham Austell and husband Nick of Earl; a grandson, Josh Graham; a step granddaughter, Melissa Bradshaw; a step great granddaughter, Kayla Bradshaw; and a niece, Valrie Underwood.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Friday. Family headquarters is at 116 Blackhawk Drive, Shelby.
