KINGS MOUNTAIN-Zeldia Hope Carr, 80, resident of White Oak Manor, Shelby, went to be with the Lord on Dec. 17, 2012, at Wendover Hospice, Shelby. She was born in Cleveland County to the late George J. Hope and Maggie Humphries Hope.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Barry Carr; four sisters; and seven brothers.
Mrs. Carr was a graduate of the School for the Deaf, Morganton, and was retired from Duke Power Company. She was a loving sister who loved basketball, playing while she was in school. Zeldia touched many lives and was a wonderful, wonderful person.
Mrs. Carr is survived by her brothers, the Rev. Bob Hope and wife Betty Ruth of Kings Mountain, Steve Hope and wife Brenda of Gastonia; and her sister, Doris Grigg of Kings Mountain.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Harris Funeral Home, Kings Mountain
Funeral Service: 2 p.m. Thursday at Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel
Officiated By: The Rev. Bob Hope and the Rev. Tommy Hope
Burial: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain
