GAFFNEY, SC - Lynn Sides Henry Simmons, 56, of 611 Whites Road, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at her residence.

Born in Kings Mountain, she was formerly married to Sam Henry and Larry Simmons and the daughter of the late Andrew Sides and Geneva Cherry Sides. She loved softball and was an avid NASCAR fan, especially fond of Dale Earnhardt Jr. She was retired from textiles and a member of White Plains Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, Chad Henry and fiance' Elizabeth Pennington of Gaffney, S.C.; a daughter, Buffy Henry of Gaffney, S.C.; a step-son, Josh Simmons and wife, Becky, of Laurens, S.C.; a step-daughter, Kristi Simmons of Laurens, S.C.; a brother, Robert Sides of Cherryville; three sisters, Joanne Goodwin of Lake City, S.C., Margaret (Honey) Heffner and husband, Steve, of Boone, and Sylvia Davis of Grover; a grandchild, Melanie Mills; five step-grandchildren, Desrai Simmons, Danica Simmons, Drake Simmons, Kayleigh Simmons and Abigail Simmons. Mrs. Simmons was preceded in death by three brothers, Dan Sides, David Sides and an infant brother.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at Blakely Funeral Home.

Interment: White Plains Baptist Church Cemetery.
