She was a native of Fairfield County, SC, born to the late George Crosby and Rosie Thompson-Crosby, March 9, 1916. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Coleman; daughter, Rose Lily Gill; two sisters, Mary Ford and Viola Jackson and two brothers, Benjamin Crosby and Calip Crosby.
She is survived by a son, Woodrow Coleman and fiancé Patricia Lilly, Charleston, SC; six daughters of the home, Mary Coleman, Minister Sallie Gill, Elizabeth Ross (James), Earlene Lilley, Eva Abbott (Dr. Robert D.), Julie Brooks (Johnny), Shelby; sister, Bessie Littlejohn; four brothers, Tom Crosby, Minister Noland Crosby (Clouggeon), Roland Crosby (Shirley), George Crosby, Shelby; 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 1:30 – 2 p.m. Monday at Shoal Creek Baptist Church. At other times, the family will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Johnny (Julie) Brooks, 633 Chapel Drive, Shelby
