ROCK HILL – Rev. William "Bill" Pinkney Shytle, 83, passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2013, at White Oak Manor in York.
Born in Shelby, NC, Rev. Shytle was the son of the late Richard Calvin Shytle and the late Stella Spencer Shytle. He was a US Air Force veteran of the Korean War and a member of Eastview Baptist Church. He pastored for Mountain View Baptist Church in Kings Mountain; Allen Memorial in Grover; Mt. Hebron in Hildebrand, NC; and White Street Baptist Church in Rock Hill.
He also served as Chaplain at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill. He was the widower of Jessie Mace Shytle and was also preceded in death by his brother, Richard Shytle; and his sisters, Virginia Wallace and Margaret Cooke.
Surviving are his daughters, Teresa Chapman and Sharon Mallaney, both of Rock Hill; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation: The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the Family Life Center
Funeral Service: 4 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at Eastview Baptist Church

Burial: Burial will be in the church cemetery
