KINGS MOUNTAIN - Carley Edward "Eddie" Turner, 60, of 705 Landing Street, Kings Mountain, died Friday, April 26, 2013, at Kings Mountain Hospital.
Born in Cherokee County, S. C., he was the son of the late Carley Turner and Frances Pennington Turner.
A member of Bethel Baptist Church, Shelby, he loved woodworking and cross stitch and was a loving husband, father and grandfather and a passionate person. He was a former employee of SouthCo, Shelby.
He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Sheila Lynch Turner, Kings Mountain; sons: Lance Turner, St. Louis, Miss., Robbie Turner and wife, Nichole, Blacksburg, S.C.; daughter Cayce Turner Koon and husband, Brian, Greer, S.C.; brother Joe Turner and wife, Kim, Gaffney, S.C.; sister Vanessa Hullender and husband, Steve, Kings Mountain; and nine grandchildren.
Memorial service: Tuesday, 11 a.m., Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel
Officiating: Pastor Tim Sims.
Visitation: Tuesday, from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service at Harris Funeral Home.
