BLACKSBURG, S.C.- Charlie Josephus Mack, 63, of 342 Pearson Street, died April 25, 2013, in Charles George VA Medical Center, Asheville.

Husband of Annie Mickles Mack, he was born in Cherokee County, a son of the late Ophanel Mack Sr. and Halycon Simuel Mack.
Charlie was a former employee of SAIA as a dedicated truck driver. He was a member of Mikes Creek Baptist Church where he was a Deacon, Usher, All Male Chorus, The Divine Purpose Choir, and New Creation Choir. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ophanel Jr. (Phyllis), and Donnie.
In addition to his wife , he is survived by three sons, Charles Mack Jr., Darriach Mack, and Eddie Thomas Mack of Blacksburg; a daughter, Sherita Roberts (Sajad) of Kings Mountain; three sisters, Anne Jordan (James) of Shelby, Elaine Dawkins (Bobby), and Debra Mayberry of Gaffney; great-aunt, Tiny T. Smith of Gaffney; and five grandchildren.
Funeral Service: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mikes Creek Baptist Church. Mr. Mack will lie in state in the church from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday.
