LAWNDALE-- Willie Belle Dillingham Wright, 75, of 305 Kadesh Church Road, Lawndale, died Friday, July 26, 2013. Our Savior whispered softly, "come home my child," and our beloved mother and grandmother answered the summons and quietly entered eternal rest.
She retired from SCT Yarns in Cherryville as a winder. She was a member of the Providence Missionary Baptist Church in Lincolnton, where she was a member of the Senior Choir, Ladies Sunday School, Missionary Circle, Pastors Aid and a Deaconess. Mrs. Willie Belle was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She had an honest and loving spirit. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Deacon George Lester Wright; three brothers, James Edward, Robert Jr., and Wilmer Lee Dillingham; and a sister-in-law, Juanita Maddox Dillingham.
She leaves fond and loving memories in the hearts of two daughters, Linda Faye Wright of the home and Mrs. Shirley (Gregory) Hines of Shelby; two sons, Christopher (Cherié) Wright of Charlotte, and Willie (Mary) Wright of Boiling Springs; two stepdaughters, Frances (Jeff) Sellers of Iron Station, and Barbara Saxton of Tennessee; one stepson, Dennis (Gail) Wilson of Iron Station; one brother, William Dillingham of Hickory; one sister, Christine Dillingham of Hickory; two sisters-in-law Tessie Dillingham of Hickory, and Louise Dillingham of Connelly Springs.
She also leaves behind eight grandchildren, one of whom was reared in the home, Brandon Tyre Wright in the United States Air Force in Aviano, Italy; seven step grandchildren and two great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She also adopted her Pastor Michael and Carolyn Hill of Kings Mountain; along with their son, Michael Jr. (Marquita) Hill and their sons of Mt. Holly, as her own children and grandchildren.
