SHELBY - James "Glenn" Jackson, 67, of Bridges Street, died Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014, at his home. A native Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Howard and Catherine Hollifield Jackson. He loved his family and fishing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Patsy Jackson Reeves; and brother, Farris "Butch" Jackson.
He is survived by his son, David Jackson of Shelby; sister, Emma Jackson Cook and husband Calvin of Inman, S.C.; brother, Marvin Jackson of Shelby; and his grand-dog chihuahua, Petie Glenn Jackson.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Funeral service: 2 p.m. Monday at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel
