LAWNDALE - Ronald "Ronnie" Eugene Hoffman, 79, of 6338 Fallston Road, passed
away Feb. 2, 2014, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. Born Feb. 26, 1934, in Gaston County, he was a son of the late Cary L. Hoffman and Lilly Ford Hoffman.
He worked for FASCO and was a member of Norman's Grove Baptist Church. Ronnie was a member of Cooksville Masonic Lodge #502 and served in the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S. Cotton as a 3rd Class Petty Officer. He was a member of NAMB Campers on Mission and he loved his family, woodturning, nature and loved to watch birds.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Lois
Wall Hoffman; and a brother, Don Hoffman.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Bostic Hoffman; three step-sons, Tim
Sisk of Marion, Donald Sisk and wife Emily of Belwood and Gerald Fred Sisk
and wife Tammy of West Jefferson; sister, Martha Ottinger of Lebanon, Tenn.; a
grandson, Brandon Sisk; and two nephews, Gary Ottinger of Newton and Gabe
Ottinger of Lebanon, Tenn.
Visitation: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church fellowship hall.
Funeral service: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Norman's Grove Baptist Church
Officiated by: The Rev. Keith Huss
Burial: Will follow in Norman's Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Military and Masonic Graveside Rites
