wow, I remember Mr. Brun. He taught me science. At what school? I don't remember but I remember him. He was an interesting fellow. Rest in peace, Mr. Brun.

Sylvia, Deidre and Family,
Mr. Brun was a very good man and friend to many! He was a warm and giving spirit. He always had a big smile and he will be missed by all who knew him. He and his sweet bride, Faye, were the most caring people! I can't tell you how much we appreciate their wonderful friendship, kindness and care to our sweet “Bo”. We will never forget it! They are all together in a much better place now. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

Sylvia & Roy - I am truly saddened by your father's passing. I always enjoyed our phone conversations and emails. His ability to make me laugh or see things in a better light seem to come so natural to him. I wish I could have had a chance to hear him sing in his Barbershop Quartet. My mom (Joyce) and I will deeply miss him and we send our sincere condolences to you and your families.

Mr. and Mrs. Brun were fine people, as citizens of Caddo Parish.
In 1972-1873, Mrs. Brun taught me at Rusheon Junior High in American History; it was at that time that I realized that this lady represented what was such an honorable American that truly believed in America!
May God bless you all with the memories that Mr. and Mrs. Brun had given of themselves to you and many others.

Sylvia and Roy,
Please know that you and all others concerned with your Father's passing are in my thoughts and prayers as you face the days ahead secondary to his earthly absence. I didn't know him, but I do know that he raised two fine children and that is indicative of a fine person. I trust that you will take comfort in knowing that someone so special to many will never be forgotten. May God comfort and bless you as you begin this new chapter in life.

The Final Salute
“Brothers in Arms”, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged “Hand Salutes” as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another.
This “Hand Salute” is the last that we shall render to Edwin Louis Brun our “Brother-in-Arms”. To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for Edwin. And to Edwin it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for the devoted and selfless service he rendered to his country during WW-II while serving in the U.S. Army. Edwin, you are a true patriot, who served with honor and distinction. You upheld the finest qualities of an American patriot warrior: courage, commitment, generosity, sacrifice, love and devotion to family and country. We bid you a sad farewell. You will be dearly missed from among our ranks. Be at Ease. Rest in Peace.
On behalf of the 1,261 military veteran Legionnaires of Lowe-McFarlane Post 14 of the American Legion, I extend our sympathies and our condolences to Edwin's family and loved ones.
