Cody Wayne Mauldin aka
Cody John Garner
Bossier City, LA - Funeral services for Cody will be held at Aulds Funeral Home in Shreveport on Sunday, April 21, 2013. Visitation will be Saturday night from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Following the funeral service, family will proceed to Mt. Zion in Montgomery, Louisiana for a graveside memorial service.
Cody died suddenly as the result of an automobile accident on April 18, 2013. He was the son of Fran Evans and John Garner. Cody was a blessed gift to us at his birth. He is survived by siblings John Craft, Mike Craft, Tracy Sullivan, Lisa O'Donnal, and paternal grandmother, Clarice Garner. He also is survived by his biological grandfather, Wayne Mauldin, biological siblings Ashley Payne, Jonathan Mauldin, Emily Craft and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Cody was predeceased by his biological father, Johnny Reed Mauldin and his maternal grandmother, Evonne Gunn.
Cody lived life to the fullest learning many things by trial and error. But, he left the gift of love and steadfast friendship to many in the Bossier City/Shreveport area. Most of all, he loved his mother fiercely and vowed to protect her from all harm.
Cody's wishes would be for his friends to learn from him the lessons he had learned and to know that there is only one God who watches over us all. He is now in the hands of our Almighty God and free of pain.

Hey Cody
It's been almost a year since we lost you and we still miss you like it was yesterday.
Your smile and good humor making us laugh, the smell of brownies cooking at 2 am and the way you always paid some attention to Kadelynn making her feel important and not left out.
Just as you watched out for Gibbi then please continue to watch over him now.
We miss you so much but take comfort in knowing that you are at peace in a wonderous place with GOD.

Hey bro, today in Mrs. Hahns class we watched Forrest Gump... I though about you the whole time watching it, I remembered the first day we met and we talked about "Stupid is as stupid does" and I teared up every time it was said because I thought of you. It's been a month since you've left us yet I'm still waiting for one of your random phone calls. Hope you're having fun wherever you are. I love you <3 I'll see you again someday.
