Bette Grace Sheffield Buckner
SHREVEPORT, LA-Bette Grace Sheffield Buckner was born on April 1, 1929 in Ozark, Alabama, the daughter of Pearlie Grace and Frank Sheffield. She went home to be with her Lord on November 27, 2012 after a brief illness.
Bette, beloved wife of Roy T. Buckner, was preceded in death by her mother, Pearlie Grace, her father, Frank, brothers, Gerald and William and daughter Lisa Ann.
She is survived by her loving husband, Roy T. Buckner; son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Debbie F. Buckner of Alexandria, LA; daughter, Sandra Stentz of Shreveport, LA, and daughter and son-in-law, Terri and John Pawliski of Shreveport, LA; three grandsons, Brian and Matthew Stentz, and Eric Pawliski; two granddaughters, Amy Yarbrough and Kacey Buckner, as well as three great-grandchildren, Taylor and Lilly Yarbrough and John Eric Pawliski.
She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church for many years and was strong in her love of her Lord Jesus Christ. She was a devoted mother and loving wife of sixty-five years, and will be keenly missed by a host of friends and family members.
Visitation with the family will be at Rose-Neath Southside Funeral home on Saturday, December 1, 2012 from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m., followed by a brief memorial service at 10:00 a.m. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Buckner Cemetery in Choice, Texas.
