Calvin Wesley "Butch"
Funeral services for Mr. Calvin Wesley "Butch" Hall, III, age 68, will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Mansfield with Brother Thumper Miller officiating and Father Michael Millard assisting. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery in Mansfield under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield, LA.
Calvin was born in Mansfield on August 25, 1944 to Calvin W. Hall and Joyce Chestnut Hall and passed away on Sunday, November 4, 2012 in Shreveport, LA. His determination and courage during his illness was an inspiration to all who knew, loved, and supported him during this time.
After graduating from Mansfield High School in 1962, he attended LA Tech University and received his bachelor degree from Northeast LA State University, now called University of Louisiana at Monroe. After college he worked at First National Bank in Mansfield as a collector and later was employed at Hendrix Manufacturing Co. as Vice President of Operations for over 30 years.
A man of deep faith and love, Calvin believed the most important things in life were God and family. He was a lifetime member of the First Baptist Church in Mansfield. Even through his illness he never question God but maintained and confirmed his faith and trust until the very end. He was a devoted husband, father, and PaPa. He lived his life for his two sons and grandsons.
Calvin was preceded in death by his parents and nephew, Kyle Hall. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Brenda Herring Hall of Mansfield, LA; sons, Scott Hall of Mansfield, LA and Eric Hall and wife, Haley of Carmel, CA; grandsons, Wesley Lawrence Hall and Landon Eric Hall of Carmel, CA; brothers, Louis Clifton "Gus" Hall and his wife, Jean of Mansfield, LA and Robert Kirkland Hall and his wife, Cathy of Lakeland, FL; aunts, Sara N. Rowell and Mina Chestnut both of Shreveport, LA; true companions his dogs, Jack and Cody; and a host of extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to MD Anderson Multiple Myeloma Foundation at the University of Texas

Friends honoring Calvin as pallbearers will be Donald Bebee, Riemer Calhoun, Jr., Bill Calvert, Larry Deas, Joe Craig Fleniken, G.B. "Sonny" Hall, Jim Litton, Dave Watson, and Wayne Whatley. Honorary pallbearers will be John Garmany, Tommy Simmons, and Tommy Woodward.
