Camille Marie LaLena Sardisco

SHREVEPORT, LA - Camille Marie LaLena Sardisco, also known as Carmelene Piraino Sardisco, a longtime resident of Shreveport, LA went to be with her Lord and Savior after a "never give up" attitude to the end on Monday, November 12, 2012. Visitation will be Thursday, November 15, 2012, from 5-7 p.m. and Vigil at 7:00 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 522 Flournoy-Lucas Road, Shreveport, LA.

Funeral services celebrating Camille's life will be Friday, November 16, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. Officiating will be Father Philip Michiels. Entombment will follow in Forest Park Mausoleum, 3700 St. Vincent Avenue, Shreveport, LA. Camille was a proud, active member of Beta Signa Phi Sorority for 28 years. She was also a member of the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton's choir. Her hobbies were art, Bridge, tennis, and working in her garden.

She is preceded in death by both parents and two brothers.

Camille is survived and will be missed by her husband, Sam A. Sardisco; two daughters, Rosalyn Rose of Dallas, TX and Renee Wood of Shreveport, LA; her grandchildren, Courtney and husband, Nicholas Turner, Logan Guy, Braden Guy, Marissa and husband, David Smith, Bridget Ricci, Camille and husband, Owen Grove; twin great grandsons, Guy and Kline Turner; and sister, Angie Danna.

Honoring Camille as pallbearers will be Logan Guy, Braden Guy, Owen Grove, David Smith, Nicholas Turner, and Steven Danna.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Christus Schumpert Cancer Treatment Foundation, One St. Mary Place, Shreveport, LA 71101 or Grace Home, 1035 Margaret Place, Shreveport, LA 71101.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Dr. Steven Bonial and his staff, and the gentle, loving care given by Christus Schumpert Hospice Home Health Care, and Grace Home.
