Francis "Miss Sue" Caldwell
KEITHVILLE, LA- Services for Sue Caldwell, mother to many, 70, will be conducted at 12:00 noon, Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Sue went to the Heavenly Gates of the Lord on January 2, 2013 after a battle with COPD. Officiating will be best friend and family member, Tommy Hill. Services at the graveside will follow at Forest Park West. The family will receive friends and family at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel on Friday, January 4, 2013 with open casket visitation from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and closed casket visitation from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Sue was a Baptist and loved the Lord. She was a very successful and loving "at home mother" to her children and many other children. Her door was always open. Food was always on the table for many. Her hobbies were her dogs, her grandchildren, and friends who visited her back porch.
Sue was preceded in death by her loving husband of 45 years, Gary Caldwell; parents, Earnest J. Hughes and Ruthie Shelton Hughes; brother, Bud Hughes; sisters, Oma Lee Thornhill, and Mary Nell Bird.
Surviving Sue to cherish her memory are her daughters, Rene` Caldwell and Shonna Caldwell Lang; her best buddy and grandson, Hunter Coleman; granddaughters, Mimi's Sweet Baby Girl, Brooke Tabor and Lil' Cowgirl, Jessie Lang, whom all aided in her care until her death; special pets, Baby and Angel; siblings, Robert "Bob" Hughes, Shirley "Chuck" Hughes and wife, Delora, Minnie Ann Hinds, Betty Lou Richardson and husband, Ralph and Helen Jackson; porch buddies, Blake Gasway, J Rock Mussey, Thomas Moore, Jim Burford, Guy Kennemer, the Horton Road Clan, numerous nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.
To carry her one last time will be J Rock Mussey, Jim Burford, Philip Jeane, Dan Curtis, Thomas Moore, Hunter Coleman, and Gary Caskey and Paul Ray Stephenson. Brooke Tabor and Blake Gasway will escort her loving Labs, Baby and Angel, to her graveside.
