A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Frank Digilormo, age 72, of Lake Murvaul, TX, was held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Apr. 10, 2014, at St. William of Vercelli Catholic Church in Carthage with Father Jesudoss Thomas officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. Interment followed in Connor Cemetery near Beckville. The family received friends from 6-7 p.m. on Wednesday at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with a rosary having been recited at 7 p.m. Mr. Digilormo passed away on Monday morning, Apr. 7, 2014, in Carthage.
Frank Digilormo was born on Oct. 25, 1941, in Shreveport, LA to the late Leonardo Frank and Mary Tena Tombrella Digilormo. He attended Catholic school in Shreveport and later transferred to Fair Park High School where he participated in the ROTC program and graduated with the class of 1959. In his early years, Frank owned a sheet metal business in Longview where he was also a member of the Elks Lodge
. He married Teresa on April 18, 1986, in Hope, Ark. In 1987, he moved to Carthage from San Antonio and opened Twin City Exterminating and later Lighthouse Therapy. He loved fishing on Lake Murvaul, especially with his brothers. Frank had a loving and compassionate heart for animals and people and was always quick to lend a helping hand. He was of the Catholic faith and attended St. William of Vercelli Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Martha Louise Murray; his son, Leonard Frank Digilormo; and his loving pets, Strudel, Moriah, Candy, and Angel.
Frank is survived by his wife, Teresa of Lake Murvaul; three daughters, Toyia Urbaniak and husband Lawrence "Cowboy" of Clayton, Theresa Lynn Wilcox and husband Lloyd of Carthage, and Richelle Blount and husband Andy of Rockport; four siblings, Rosie Johnson of Blanchard, Dominick Digilormo and wife Claudette of Bossier City, Vincie Scalco of Longview, and Tony Digilormo of Blanchard; ten grandchildren, Alexis Helice Digilormo and fiancé John Reynolds, Kelsey Brianne Digilormo, Sarah Michelle Digilormo, Hunter Ryson Frank Digilormo, Travis Wilcox and wife Lori, Brock Nugent and wife Shannen, Julia Alexander and husband Patrick, David Wilcox and wife Sheryl, Jessica Wilcox and friend Tiffany, and Fisher Blount; numerous great-grandchildren; special family member, Elmo Kelly; and two dogs, Molly and Poppy.
Serving as pallbearers were Tony Digilormo, Andrew Digilormo, Vincent Scalco, Brock Nugent, Patrick Alexander, Travis Wilcox, and John Digilormo.
