Jamestown, LA - Funeral services for Jimmy Dewayne Jeter, 51, will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, October 7, 2012 at First Baptist Church in Ringgold, LA. Interment will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery in Castor, LA. Officiating the services will be Bro. Ronnie Osborne.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at Rockett Funeral Home Chapel in Ringgold, LA.
Jimmy was born on February 1, 1961 in El Dorado, AR and passed away on October 5, 2012. He was employed by Lantern Drilling. He was preceded in death by his father, James Edward Jeter; his brother, David Jeter; his sister, Cynthia Allison; and his daughter, Lori Lea Jeter.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Lisa Jeter of Jamestown, LA; mother, Lovie Jeter of Ringgold, LA; three sons, Joey Jeter and his wife Tarin of Marthaville, LA, Austin Havard of Castor, LA, and Jameison Jeter of Jamestown, LA; two daughters, Jimmie Lea Jeter of Jamestown, LA and Joeli Jeter of Jamestown, LA; two brothers, Mike Jeter and his wife Candy of Martin, LA and Eddie Jeter and his wife Renee of Ed Dorado, AR; three sisters, Debbie Williams and her husband Robert of Shongaloo, LA, Brenda Williamson and her husband Donnie of Shongaloo, LA and Lucy Minter of Ringgold, LA; one grandchild, Harlee Jeter; mother-in-law, Betty Knotts of Castor, LA; along with a host of other relatives and close friends.
Active pallbearers will be Matthew Jeter, Michael Jeter, Cody Jeter, Lee Jeter, Brent Williams, Stevie Williams, Bruce Williams, Casey Williams, Chad Allison,and Johnathan Raney.
Honorary pallbearers will be Steven Knotts, Cody Gates, Robert Jarnagan, Scott Taylor, Forest Phelps, Wally Hay, Henry Scott, and Mike Reno.
Jimmy was a loving and caring son, husband, father, brother, and friend to many. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
