SSgt. John W. Reinowski, USAF (Ret.)
Shreveport, LA - Mr. John Wm. Reinowski, at the age of 59, went to be with his Lord and Savior, on Tuesday, October 9, 2012, after a brief illness. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 12, at Osborn Funeral Home. A celebration of his life will begin at 1:00 p.m., in the Chapel of Osborn Funeral Home with Rev. Conrad Edwards officiating. Military honors will follow at Forest Park Cemetery, St. Vincent Ave., by the Barksdale Air Force Base Honor Guard.
John was born on April 23, 1953, at Barksdale A.F.B., to Lt. Col. Paul Wm. Reinowski and Priscilla Rogers Reinowski. He was a resident of Shreveport, LA, graduated from C. E. Byrd High School in 1971 and was member of Broadmoor United Methodist Church. John was a member of the Joppa Masonic Lodge, the El Karubah Shrine, and the Scottish Rites Temple. He served in the United States Air Force and USAF Reserve having served during Desert Storm and Desert Shield.
John was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Col. Paul Rogers Reinowski. He is survived by his son, John Cooper Usrey; grandchild, Madison Rene Usrey; two brothers, Thomas Karl Reinowski and wife, Nancy, Robert Edward Reinowski, all of Shreveport; nephews, Brian Alexander Reinowski and Will Reinowski; and nieces, Darden Elizabeth Reinowski and Christen E. Reinowski. John also leaves behind his beloved companion, Gloria Blackburn, of Bossier City, LA, as well as his extended family and many caring friends. John was known by all as a very kind and gentle man.
