Bossier City, LA- A service of Christian burial, celebrating the life of Keitha, will be held at Centuries Memorial Chapel at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 8, 2012. The Rev. John Harp of Brookwood Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will follow at 4:00 p.m. at Belah Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 7, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home.
Keitha was born to Jim and Viola Cowart in, Jena, LA.
She was predeceased by her parents, her little brother Buck, her baby sister Corina, her sister, Ophelia Myles and her brother Arthur Cowart, along with her husbands, Gove Keene, Armon Dring and Warren Stouffer.
During WWII, she was, "Rosie the Riveter", working at Camp Livingston for four years. She did many things to help the war effort.
She is survived by her daughters, Jimmye Warren and husband Jerry, Johnnie Compton and husband Michael, Jerry Moore and Jacque Dring; 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by 2 nephews and 1 niece. All of whom she adored.
Pallbearers will be Dean Warren, Don Warren, Dale Warren, Daren (J.D.) Warren, Jon Michael Compton, Nathan Moore, Jerry Warren, III, Jon Warren, Josh Warren, Mark Warren, Kevin Boothe, J.W. Myles, David Myles, Harold Ray Corley, J.P. Tarver and Dale Mitchell.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Margaret and Julie for their special care shown to Mrs. Stouffer.
