Martha Swan Bonnette
Funeral services for Martha Swan Bonnette, 77, will be held at 12 noon Thursday, October 25, 2012 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Trey Lewis and Rev. Cecil Marr. Interment will follow in Forest Park St. Vincent Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 24, 2012 from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Martha was born July 10, 1935 to David and Carra Swan. She was a retired nurse and school bus driver. She was a member of Kingston Road Baptist Church and attended Pinecroft Baptist Church. She was active singing in choir and enjoyed singing solos. Martha was a Girl Scout leader, a special Olympics
coach, taught special Ed Sunday school, and lead the bell choir.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney W. Bonnette. She is survived by her mother, Clotille Swan, daughters, Cynthia Bonnette, Rebecca Lusk and husband, Greg, Brenda Makowsky and husband, Doug, and Christy Randolph; grandchildren, Stephanie Walter, Dalton Veuleman, Brandon Randolph, Jared Lusk, Sydney Alsabrook, Braedon Alsabrook; great-grandchild, Landon Davis; her siblings, David S. Swan and wife Mina, Fay Callen and husband Shay, and Diane Stetler and husband Kevin.
Honoring Martha as pallbearers will be Doug Laney, Chris Davis, Buddy Randolph, Brandon Randolph, Chris Smith, and Donald Phillips. Honorary pallbearer Dalton Veuleman
