Regis H. Murphy, Jr.
HAUGHTON, LA - Services for Regis, 69, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 20, 2013 at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Saturday, January 19, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army for 23 years and was a member of 101st Airborne, 82nd Airborne, 75th Ranger Battalion, VFW
post 5951, Ranger Association and the Caddo Rifle and Pistol Club. He was an author, a singer, Saint's fan and a gun enthusiast.
He was preceded in death by his mother Marie Murphy and father Regis Murphy, Sr.
He is survived by his wife Mary O. Murphy, son Regis H. Murphy III and daughter Annmarie Murphy of Charlotte, NC and daughter Jennifer Jimenez and husband Chris of Eagle River, AK, six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews along with his favorite nephew CW2 Brandon Murphy.
