HAUGHTON, LA - A Celebration of Life Service will be held for Todd Rankin on Saturday, August 8, 2009 at 1:00 PM in the Hill Crest Memorial Chapel. The family will be receiving friends on Friday, August 7, 2009 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home. Rev. Glen Alderman, Pastor of Bell Park Baptist Church and Rev. Andy Harris, Pastor of Central Assembly of God will be officiating the service. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park with military honors.

Todd was born on February 4, 1977 in Bossier City and passed from this life on August 3, 2009 in Haughton, LA. He graduated from Haughton High School in 1995 and joined the Navy, to serve his country, in 1995 until 1999. Todd was currently employed by Kansas City Railroad as an electrician. He was an avid outdoors man. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, 4-wheeler riding and boating. Family and friends remember Todd as a person who lived life at "full throttle".

He was preceded in death by his grandfather Prewitt Rankin, cousin, Rose Rankin and Uncle George Rankin.

Todd is survived by his father J.T. Rankin, sister, Charity Rankin, son, Mason Rankin and Mason's mother, Cheryl Logan, grandmother, Gertrude Rankin. He is also survived by his cousin, George Rankin, Jr., Aunt Ann Rankin-St.Clair, Todd's maternal family, the Irby's and very best friends the Sheffield Family, along with numerous aunts, uncles and friends.

Pallbearers will be Todd Wroten, John Wroten, Trey Wilson, Trey Hicks, Ronnie Carlson, Jeremy Young, Austin Lovelace, Chris Rains. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Sheffield, Jerry Markham, Bobby Fondren, Gary Vining, Russell Bray, George Rankin and Sheldon Sheffield.

The family recommends that casual attire be worn at the service in honor of Todd.
