SHREVPORT, LA - Dominick Joseph Tuminello went to be with our Heavenly Father on Friday, June 7, 2013. Services celebrating the life of Dominick Tuminello will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, June 10, 2013 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Officiating the service will be Father Karl Daigle. Interment will follow at Forest Park St. Vincent. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Sunday, June 9, 2013 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home on Marshall Street in Shreveport, LA.

Dominick was born on November 9, 1919 in Shreveport, LA. Dominick is a World War II veteran and served in the Pacific Theatre. He is a recipient of two Purple Hearts with four leaf clusters. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Theresa Bacala Tuminello; brothers, Johnny and JoeTuminello; and sister, Chetta Tuminello Ferlito.

He is survived by his brother, Emile Tuminello; sons, Ronnie Tuminello, Dominick Tuminello and wife Lisa; daughter, Denise and husband Patrick Norris; grandchildren, Troy Tuminello, Abby Bullock, Kristi Childers, Christopher Norris, Kimberly Varnell, Holly Brooks; great-grandchildren, Brooke Tuminello, River Childers, Carson Childers, Nathan Varnell, Caleb Varnell, Kambry Norris and Rylan Norris.

Honoring Dominick as pallbearers will be Nicky Ferlito, Russell Pedro, Troy Tuminello, Jay Childers, Daniel Varnell and Christopher Norris.

The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Department of Veteran Affairs.
