Player, Sr.

MOORINGSPORT, LA - Graveside services for Darrell R. Player, Sr., age 75, will be held Thursday, June 30, 2011 at 10 A.M. at Mooringsport Memorial Gardens with Rev. Robbin Haley, pastor of Mooringsport Methodist Church officiating, assisted by Rev. Cheryl Nelson.

Darrell was born July 13, 1935 in Shreveport, LA and entered into rest on Sunday, June 26th at Promise Hospital in Shreveport, LA after 13 years of complications with Dialysis.

His father and mother, R.W. and Juanita Player preceded Darrell in death. He is survived by his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Jane, with whom he had celebrated 55 years of marriage on June 15, 2011, two children, Darrell Player, Jr. and wife, Mary, Chyrl Craig and Chuck Cubley and his brother, Roy Wesley Player, Jr. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren and 11 step great grandchildren.

Pallbearers for Darrell will be Chuck Cubley, Don Strong, Bobbie Golden, Roland Wisinger, Rodney Brossette, I. W. McKnight and Wayne Coffman.
