Sorry about your father! I didn't get to watch the Super Bowl pregame show on Fox. When I tuned in the game I knew something was wrong because you weren't there with the rest of the great Fox crew! I called a friend and he told me what had happened. I hope and pray you will get thru this. It will take time but it will get better. I have been one of your biggest fans ever since I saw you play against the Southeastern Louisiana Lions back in the sixty's! You beat us that day but from then on I was a fan because I knew you were going to be a great one for sure! We all know your father was your # one fan and he was very proud of everything you did. Were all thinking of you and your family. Your father is now an angel. John...

I am sending my sincere condolences in the loss of your loved one.
I did not know Mr. Bradshaw personally.
However...now, I do. I could paint a picture of a Family man..kind and caring..A man who could spin a tale, and..that smile.... that laugh...
Oh, Lord could he laugh...just brightened up the room...
He was respected..and respectable..
Fair..and God fearing...a man of Faith..i learned of his love for his beloved wife...and his sons...for his co- workers and for our Land..Tonight, I've read a wonderful Book of the life of an exceptional man...A Blessing..
Job well done, Mr. Bradshaw..
Find my Uncles, Bendie and Tonkie and catch up on old times..
My Love to all..

To the Bradshaw Family. May I take a small moment to say this loss is a loss to many people. It breaks my heart to loose "Mr. Bill" but we all know he is in a better place. He has been a mentor to me for the best part of 48 years. I always looked forward to his visiting our maint. shop everyday at Beairds. He always had a good "pointer" for us. He always had a smile and not a bad word was ever heard. This makes him # ONE in my book. As I have told you, Mrs. B., I am only a phone call away, day or night. The hurt is here now but the empty place is to come. God will watch and keep as always. We love you.

God saw he was getting tired and a cure was not to be, he put his arm around him and whispered "come with me" with tearful eyes we watched him suffer and saw him fade away. Although we loved him dearly we could not make him stay. A golden heart stopped beating and work weary hands at rest, God broke our hearts to prove he only takes the best. My prayers are with you and your family Terry in this difficult time.

The Final Salute

“Brothers in Arms”, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged “Hand Salutes” as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another.

This “Hand Salute” is the last that we shall render to William Marvin (Bill) Bradshaw our “Brother-in-Arms”. To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for Bill. And to Bill it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for the devoted and selfless service he rendered to his country during the Korean War while serving in the U.S. Navy. Bill, we commend you for your honorable service. You are a true patriot, who served with honor and distinction. You upheld the finest qualities of an American patriot warrior: courage, commitment, generosity, sacrifice, love and devotion to family and country. You were a true friend. We bid you a sad farewell. You will be dearly missed from among our ranks. Be at Ease. Rest in Peace.

On behalf of the 1,261 military veteran Legionnaires of Lowe-McFarlane Post 14 of the American Legion and the 233 veterans of VFW Post 2238 in Shreveport, Louisiana, we extend our sympathies and our condolences to Bill's family and loved ones.
