Bobbie Winstead Dethloff

Bobbie Winstead Dethloff, 86, passed away on February 25, 2017 in Shreveport, Louisiana following a lengthy illness. A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 11:00 am at Broadmoor Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Dr. Jim Freeman officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Osborn Funeral Home.

Bobbie was born January 9, 1931 in Jackson, Mississippi to Doris J. Winstead and Cecil D. Winstead. She grew up in Jackson and graduated from Central High School. After graduation, Bobbie attended Jackson Business College. While working in an insurance agency, she met Carl Richard Dethloff. They were married in 1957 and moved to Shreveport, LA. Bobbie was active in Broadmoor Presbyterian Church, the Shreveport Club and the Cotillion Club. She loved traveling and visiting with friends, playing bridge, relaxing and fishing at the lake, tennis and attending any event her children and grandchildren were involved in at the time. She was a wonderful wife, mother, Nonie and friend.

She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents. She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Lunn and husband, Doug; her son, David Dethloff and wife, Pam; four grandchildren, Trey Lunn and his wife, Annie; Emily Lunn Smith and her husband, Halden; Joey Hynes and his wife, Megan; Drew Dethloff; and one great-grandchild, Ellie Hynes. She is also survived by loving in-laws and numerous nephews.

The family extends much love and appreciation to Jackie Dotson who was Bobbie's constant companion for 27 years. Also a very special thanks to Preferred Care and the Chateaus at Montclair for their years of care and concern.

Pallbearers will be Joey Hynes, Trey Lunn, Drew Dethloff, Halden Smith, Brandon Gautreau, Rob Feron, and Barry Simmons.
