SHREVEPORT, LA - Madeline Morvant Bolin of Shreveport, LA died on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 after a brief illness. A graveside service will be held at Forest Park Cemetery, 3700 St. Vincent Avenue, on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 10 am.

Madeline was born October 23, 1926 in Crowley, LA to Henry F. and Madeline J. Morvant. She graduated from Crowley High School in 1943 and graduated from Charity Hospital School of Nursing New Orleans in 1947.

Madeline Bolin was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 59 years, Judge C. J. Bolin Jr.; and son, Martin P. Bolin.

She is survived by her children: Madeline Anne Willhite and her husband, John; John H. Bolin and his wife, Nicole; Adele Coleman and her husband, Richard; Jeanise Mulcahy and her husband, Patrick; Robert Bolin and Jenny Harris. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Major Michelle Nance Melendez, USMC and her husband, Major Marcos Melendez, USMC; Scott Nance and his wife, Catherine; John Bolin, Jr and his wife, Ashley; Billy Bolin and his wife, Shauna, Christopher Bolin, Andrew Bundt; Miranda Mart and her husband, Steven; Madeline Hartrick, Sarah Hartrick, Joseph Dillon and Millicent Eib, and her husband, Shawn; and 12 great grandchildren.

The family wishes to thank Gwen Carter for her kind and loving care to Madeline. There will be a Memorial Service for Madeline at a future date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or a charity of the donor's choice.
