She departed this life on August 8, 2012 at 4:48 pm at Rex Hospital in Raleigh, North Carolina. From there, the angel gently led her from life to reward. She was a native of Frierson, Louisiana. Services will be held at 12 noon, Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Mt Mariah Baptist Church, 3985 Highway 5, Frierson, LA 71027-2099. Pastor Fredrick Fuller will officiate.
She leaves to cherish her beautiful memory, her loving and caring husband Dea. Henry Floyd of Kittrell, NC; two sons Cleveland Douglas III of Shreveport, LA, and Charles Douglas of NC; nine siblings: William C. Farris (Gwendolyn) of Baton Rouge, LA; Dessie L. Farris Evans (Rev. Johnny) of Puyallup, WA; Bonnie Farris of Houston, TX, Betty Farris Stallworth (Rev. Albert Sr.) of Gauthier, MS; Abigail Farris Thomas (Rev. Lee Arthur Sr.) of Shreveport, LA; Patrick Lee Farris (Jean) of Shreveport, LA; Mattie Farris Bates (Rev. Virgil) of Shreveport, LA; Haynes Farris (Geraldine) of Houston, TX; special double first cousins and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
