SHREVEPORT, LA- Amanda Rene Sparks born February 20, 1988 went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on April 3, 2013. Funeral Services will be held at Grace Community United Methodist Church located at 9400 Ellerbe Road, Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. Officiating will be Rev. Roger Templeton and Rev. Clifton Warren. Interment will follow at Centuries Memorial Cemetery on Mansfield Road. Visitation with the family will be held Friday, April 5, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel.

Amanda graduated from Parkway High School in 2006. She loved life, family, friends and to dance. Amanda greeted every day with a beautiful smile and the courage to live the life she was handed. Complications from Arnold Chiari Brain Malformation caused Amanda's death. Her courageous battle began seven years ago. She fought the good fight and gave the ultimate sacrifice by donating her organs to save others. Amanda's strength and motto came from the word "Believe."

She was preceded in death by her uncle, Douglas Sparks. She is survived by her parents, Jackie Paul and Donna Burroughs Sparks; her sisters Abby Deann and Aubrie Jean Sparks; grandparents: Roy Dean and Barbara Caswell Burroughs (Paps and MawMaw) and Henry and Katherine Kellogg (PawPaw and MawMaw Kat); aunts and uncles, Debbie Burroughs Lennard, Donna Sparks Anderson and husband Marc, and Tom Tomlinson and wife Kelly; cousins: Ben Lennard and wife, Tina, Cameron Lennard , Alan Lennard and wife, Lindsey, Molly Lennard, Katie Anderson Hankins and husband, Mark, Holly Tomlinson, Andrew and Sarah Sparks; and a host of very special family and friends.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Larry Melancon, Bobby Melancon, Rick Regenold, Ben Clark, Josh Huddleston, and Matt Stinson.

The Sparks Family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Wen Liu, Dr. Paul Schuler, the entire staff of LifeCare-Pierremont, T.I.R.R. Rehab doctors and staff, and Baylor Rehab and hospital doctors and staff.
