Bo Bohanan Obituary
R.W. "Bo" Bohanan

BOSSIER CITY, LA - R.W. "Bo" Bohanan, 89, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. Services for Bo will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel with Pastor Rick Edmonds, of Calvary Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park with military honors. The family will be receiving visitors from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at the funeral home.

Bo retired as MSgt. with the Air Force. He was a WWII and Korean War veteran. While in the service, he started the first little league on Barksdale Air Force base, receiving a medal from General McConnell. It began a love of sports that kept him coaching youth baseball for many years. He was an avid fan of the Airline Vikings, and LSU football. He fished, hunted and loved his grandchildren, great grandchildren, family and his four legged family too. He was and still is the world's best grandfather. He looked forward to his friends at the ballpark and his Wednesday mornings with the "breakfast crew." He will be missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Myrtle Bohanan, wife Marion, son Gary Bohanan, great grandson Lawson Brandon and son-in-law John Kimball.

He is survived by his son Clay Bohanan and wife Beverly, daughter Gale Kimball, grandchildren Dustin Brandon (Kelly), Jerry Brandon (Kristen), Katie Jackson (Zach), Nick Bohanan (Shannon) and Steven Kimball (Amber).

The family would like to thank the ICU staff at Willis Knighton Pierremont, Sylvia Noble, Dr. Hernandez and Laura (P.A.) for their care.
