Edward "Bubba" William Deen, Jr.
SHREVEPORT, LA-Services celebrating the life of Edward "Bubba" William Deen, Jr., age 65, will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 21, 2013 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home on Marshall Street. Officiating will be Brother Billy Wood. Interment will follow at Beulah Cemetery in Marthaville, LA at 2:30 PM. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 20, 2013 from 4 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
Bubba was born September 28, 1948 in Shreveport, LA. He went to be with his Heavenly Father on October 16, 2013 in Blanchard, LA. Preceding him in death were his parents, Edward William Deen and Naomi Ainsworth Porter. Left to cherish his precious memory is his son, Edward Scott Deen and wife Kristi Lynn Deen; daughter, Dakota Deen Suchey; and five grandchildren, Haley Naomi Deen, McKayla Layne Deen, Morgan Amber Deen, Meah Rae Deen, and Macy Deen Harris; sisters, Edith Deen and Mary Scarbourgh; and brothers, Maurice Jackson, Norman Deen, Marvin Deen, Kenneth Deen, James Deen, David Deen, and Robert Deen.
Bubba was a Vietnam Veteran who served in the Navy Sea Bees for eight years. He was happiest when he was outdoors hunting with his son. He loved trail riding and time spent with his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Honoring Bubba as pallbearers will be K. P. Anderson, Jimmy Baker, George Jackson, Dusty Lewis, Abe Reddix, Raymond Sowell, Casey Tucker and Josh Tucker.
Honorary pallbearers will be Lynn Arnold and John Colbert.
