Shreveport, LA- Funeral services celebrating the life of Eleanor (Biddie) Cathey Arceneaux, 87, will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 in the chapel of Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. Officiating will be Dr. Tom Harrison of Broadmoor Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home.

Biddie was born on March 11, 1925 in Gibsland, LA and passed away on March 12, 2012 in Shreveport, LA. She was a member of Broadmoor Baptist Church. Mrs. Arceneaux enjoyed bowling and at one point in her long life she was on the bowling team that won the Shreveport Championship. Biddie and her two sisters Lyndal and JoAnn were well known in the community as "The Sisters" that reveled in loving life and enjoyed every day to the fullest. Many times they were seen delivering "Meals on Wheels" to shut-ins and leaving a little sunshine at each house.

Preceding Mrs. Arceneaux in death were her parents, Leonard and Ida Cathey; her husband, Kurcy Paul "Frenchy" Arceneaux and brother, James Patrick Cathey.

Left to cherish beautiful memories of Biddie are her daughters, Cathey Webb and husband James of Missouri City, TX, Pattie White and husband J. King of Lake Charles, LA and Janet Duncan and husband Dave of Kansas City, MO; sisters, Lyndal Phillips of Shreveport, LA and JoAnn Holloway and husband Perry of Shreveport, LA; grandchildren, Paul King White of Atlanta, GA, Emily Monroe and husband Zachary of Chattanooga, TN and Lindsay Cockrell and husband Micah of Spring, Texas and 1 great grandchild, Hudson Zachary Monroe of Chattanooga, TN. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Honoring Mrs. Arceneaux as pallbearers will be Micah Cockrell, Paul King White, Tommy Reid, Zachary Monroe, Devin Smith and Casey Reid.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that contributions may be made to "Meals on Wheels" at the Council on Aging, 1700 Buckner Street, Shreveport, LA 71101 or Broadmoor Baptist Church, 3715 Youree Drive, Shreveport, LA 71105.
