Born October 21, 1963 in Shreveport, LA, Allen passed away Saturday, July 7, 2012. Allen (Papa Smurf) was a good-hearted country boy. He loved horses, loud country music, and a cold Bud Light. Allen enjoyed mud riding with his dear friends along with hunting and fishing. His idol was Wyatt Earp, and guns were his passion. Lonesome Dove was his favorite movie. Allen put up a good fight to stay on this earth, but Jesus had better plans and called him home. He loved his family and friends dearly, and will be missed by many.
His son, Andrew Rance Baker, brother, Joe Don Baker, maternal grandparents, Alton and Olive Lea Byrd, and paternal grandparents, David and Hatti Mae Baker, preceded Allen in death. Beautiful memories will be shared by his parents, Elmer A. Baker, Sr. and Edna C. Baker; fiancee', Trisha A. Cooper, and her children, Freddy Hanson, John Philyaw, and Anna Cooper; daughters, Ashlei Baker Bauer and Nicole Baker; stepdaughters, Brandy Tucker and Mandy Chapman; siblings, Denise Stutts, Michael Baker, Sr., and Janet Curtis; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, only nephew, Lil Mike; and many cousins.
