Mooringsport, LA - Funeral services for Mrs. Ernestine Lindsey Burroughs, age 83, will be held Friday, February 21, 2014 at 11:00 am in the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel, Springhill with Rev. Billy Russell officiating. Interment will follow in Old Sarepta Cemetery, Sarepta, LA under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA.

Visitation will begin Thursday at 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Burroughs was born August 15, 1930 in Sarepta, LA to Ernest Aubrey and Ethel Mae Charles Lindsey and passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2014 in Shreveport, LA. She was a resident of Mooringsport, LA, a member of the Baptist faith and a homemaker.

She is survived by her son, Dave "Pat" Burroughs and wife, Kim of Blanchard, LA; grandson, David L. Burroughs; granddaughters, Amber Cortez, Megan Cortez; great granddaughter, Aubrey; daughter-in-law, Brenda Burroughs and loving and special friends, Mike and Debbie Lowery of Blanchard, LA.

Mrs. Burroughs was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David Burroughs; son, Aubrey Burroughs; grandson, Reggie Onstot and sister, Billie Jean Lindsey.

Serving her as pallbearers will be Matt Camp, Mike Henk, Gary Simons, Jason Hudson, Josh Burroughs and Kevin Moore. Honorary pallbearers will be Morgan Freeman, Steve Evans and Carolyn Morris.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to or Shriners Hospital.
