Frances was born on July 2, 1930 in Dallas, TX and passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2011, at Grace Home in Shreveport, LA. She loved her church, family, and friends, and most of all her children. Frances retired from the Shreveport Library, downtown branch. She was a member of Trinity Heights Baptist Church where she once taught children's Sunday School.

Frances is survived by her husband, Helmuth C. Lange of Shreveport; daughters, Brenda Pawlikowski and husband, Greg of Shreveport, Cheryl Hinz of Colorado and Carol Noble of South Carolina; grandchildren, Daniel Pawlikowski, Darren Pawlikowski and wife, Ashley of Shreveport, Jeremy Hinz of Colorado, Joshua Hinz and fiancee', Kayla Martin of Florida, and Meredith Noble of South Carolina; and great grandchildren, Torin Pawlikowski and Caelyn Pawlikowski.

God called her home, but we will cherish the memory of a wonderful and loving mother and grandmother.

The family would like to thank those who took care of her during her illness, and Willis-Knighton Hospice and the Grace Home. We also would like to say how grateful we are to Brenda Chandler for her caring, assistance, and love she had for Frances.

When I was a child, our family would often visit the Jowells. Back then she was married to Red Jowell, and the energy between the two of them was amazing..even entertaining. Both had strong personalities, and an opinion or two. I didn't see as much of Frances as I got older, but enjoyed each time we visited in later years...she was the same special person I knew from childhood, and I am glad she found love again later in life. I will miss her but cherish the memories of knowing her. Much love to her husband and three children.

Brenda, Cheryl, Carol and Family,
We were saddened to hear of the loss of Frances. I had a wonderful conversation with her within the last year. We have such great memories of times in Dallas at her parent's home in Oak Cliff and times with you all in Shreveport at your home. We spent many hours in the woods, at the lake and playing with your dog Sinbad. We are thinking of you all during this time. Your mom was a beautiful lady with the most gracious character and loving spirit. She will be surely missed. With deep sympathy,
All our love,
DeEtte Peters, Barry Bragg, Francis and Jean Bragg
