Shreveport, LA—A celebration of life for Firefighter-Paramedic Brandon "Cornbread" Sarrett, 41, will be conducted at First Baptist Church in Greenwood, LA at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 11, 2013. Chaplain Durrell Tuberville will officiate. Interment will follow the service in Pope City Baptist Cemetery near Woodlawn, TX. Brandon's family will receive friends at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, LA 71118, Tuesday, December 10, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Brandon was born September 14, 1972 in Marshall, TX. He passed away in Shreveport, LA December 6, 2013 following a brief illness. Brandon accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was a member of First Baptist Church of Waskom, TX. Brandon was a veteran firefighter-paramedic for 20 years. He was on the crew of Caddo Parish Fire District 3. He was a 1991 graduate of Elysian Fields High School. Brandon was a Kilgore Fire Academy Graduate. He will be remembered for his big smile and generous heart. He especially cherished the time spent with his sons.

Brandon was preceded in death by his grandparents, Margaret and Gradie Waits, Millard Sarrett, and Charles and Mona Hall. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Katherine Lomax Sarrett; parents, David and Elaine Hall, Gaylon Sarrett; and grandmother, Jennie Sarrett; sons, Peyton Sarrett and Braden Sarrett; sisters, Angie Alton and husband, Larry, Amanda Johnson and husband, Brian; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; nieces, Jordan Vance, Anna Johnson, and Sarah Johnson; his firefighter brothers at Caddo Parish Fire District 3.

Honoring Brandon as his pallbearers will be Jason McMullen, Harold McMullen, Chuck Poarch, Derek Payne, Jim Banks, Brad Webb, and Jason Johnson.

Brandon's family suggests in lieu of flowers that memorials be made in his name to the Muscular Dystrophy Association and/or the .
