SHREVEPORT, LA- James Maloie Hudson, loving husband, father, and grandfather entered into rest Saturday, January 5, 2013.
Born June 22, 1925, Mr. Hudson, better known as Pepaw, served his country in WWII, where he was wounded in action in Italy and received a Purple Heart.
He loved fishing, hunting, and seeing his family. He and his wife, Jewell Pendarvis Hudson moved to Shreveport in 1951.
He is survived by his wife, Jewell P. Hudson to whom he was married for 67 years; daughter, Wanda H. Lout, who was born on his 21st birthday, and husband, Jan; son, James Michael Hudson, and wife, Debra; grandchildren, James P. Lout, Laura D. Palacios, Theresa Haigler, Kim Hudson, and Catherine Orr; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Pollock, LA. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, January 7, 2013 at the funeral home.
