James Robert Malsch|
Mr. James Robert Malsch, 82, passed away peacefully on September 13th, 2016 at Grace Home after a brief illness. Visitation will be from 5:00 -7:00 PM on Thursday, September 22nd at Osborn Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 AM on Friday, September 23rd at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 7738 Barksdale Blvd in Bossier City. Officiating will be Msgr. J. Carson LaCaze. Lunch will be provided by the church immediately after the service followed by interment at Forest Park Cemetery.
Jim was a lifelong resident of Shreveport and practiced law for over 50 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. Jim was a member of the Elks Club, Knights of Columbus, Mary Queen of Peace Senior Group, and was active for many years at St. Joseph Catholic Church and School. He had a great sense of humor and was very even-tempered unless LSU was playing football.
Jim was preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Evelyn Landers Malsch; his parents; and his brother, Milton Malsch, Jr. He is survived by his sister, Jean Malsch McGrath; son, James Robert Malsch, Jr. and his wife, Bobbie; daughter, Sharon Malsch Wegener and husband, Richard; daughter, Cynthia Malsch Monroe and husband, Mike; son, David Calvin Malsch and wife, Beata; and grandchildren, Whitney Wegener, Timothy Monroe, Ashley Monroe and Joel Boman; and many nieces and nephews. In addition, Jim is survived by his loving companion of 11 years, Margie Pinckard.
He will truly be missed by all who knew him.
