Katherine Julia Barro

Shreveport, LA - Katherine Julia Barro, 93, passed away on Friday, November 30, 2012, at Spring Lake Guest Care after a long illness. A private family service will be held with Monsignor Earl Provenza of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, officiating. Ms. Barro was a resident of Shreveport for over 75 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pauline Aura Barro and Abe Barro; sister, Lucille Thomas; sister, Alice Monsour; sister, Frances Barro; and brother, Albert Barro, Sr. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Dianne Glaze and husband, Kenneth, of Longview, TX, Jeanette Abraham, of Vicksburg, MS, Walter Monsour and wife, Mary Ann, of Baton Rouge, LA, Rochell Massad and husband, Donald, Sr., Albert Barro, Jr., Greg Barro and wife, Karin, Paula Wilkes and husband, Kent, all of Shreveport, LA; and many great nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Albert Barro, Jr., Greg Barro, Don Massad, Sr., Don Massad, Jr., Brad Massad and Walter Monsour, Jr.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 315 Marshall Street, Shreveport, LA 71101.

Greg and Albert, I am sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. I pray Gods comfort and peace for you at this time and just wanted to say you are in my thoughts and prayers.
