Leslie McKellar Obituary

OIL CITY, LA - Leslie was born in Hutchinson, KS, on October 1, 1979, and passed away at his home in Oil City, La on September 18, 2010.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at 10:00 am at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Vivian, LA. Reverend Robbin Haley, pastor of the Oil City United Methodist Church assisted by Rev. Cheryl Nelson will lead the celebration.
Les served his country in the Navy for four years on the aircraft carrier Harry S. Truman and later in the Special Forces branch of the Army.
Les is survived by his daughter, Lexy A. McKellar of Goose Creek, SC., his grandparents Dewayne and Margie McKellar of Oil City, LA, his dad Clifton McKellar and wife, Lisa of Denver, CO., his mother Loretta Jo Chandler and husband, Barry of Little Rock, AR., his brother Layne C. McKellar of Denver, CO., and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family is comforted knowing that after three years, Les will not longer be in pain and wishes to thank the many people who kept him in their hearts and prayers those years.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Oil City United Methodist Church or to the charity of donor's choice.
