Bossier City, LA - Louis William Wagner 80, of Bossier, LA died peacefully in the presence of his beloved wife of 59 years, Imelda, on May 2, 2013, after a long and happy life. Visitation will be held from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 5th, at Osborn Funeral Home. Graveside services with full military honors will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 6, 2013, at Hillcrest Memorial Park, with Father Derrick, of Barksdale Chapel officiating.

Lou was born in Washington, Massachusetts, on March 20, 1933 and was a resident of Bossier City for 37 years. He entered the Air Force in 1953 at Sampson AFB, New York. His AF career spanned 26 years and he served in many campaigns. He was awarded many commendations to include the Leo Marquez Award. He was a maintainer for the B52 "Mighty Buff" during the Vietnam Conflict. After military retirement he served as propulsion manager for 8th Air Force during Desert Storm. After his long military career, he pursued his long time love of marksmanship. He was actively involved in competitive shooting and also became an instructor for concealed weapons. He lived every day of his life with honor and integrity. Lou never met a stranger and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife Imelda; son, Louis William Wagner, Jr. and wife, Kristi, of Bossier City; three daughters, Randi Wagner, Mary Lou Bauer and husband, Stacy, and Laurie Wagner, all of Shreveport; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and his brother, Donald Wagner and wife, Anne, of Dalton, MA.

Pallbearers will be Jody Pieper, Christopher Marien, Pete Cohen, Matthew Broussard, Anthony Johnson, Mike Cork and Dave Wood.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Herbert Masters, Dr. Clarence Teagle and Dr. Meghan Harris.
