SPRINGHILL, LA - Funeral services for Mr. Loyd Noah Beal, age 88, will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, February 6, 2014, at the Springhill Missionary Baptist Church, Springhill, LA, with Bro. Ronald Morgan, Bro. Cole Melton and Bro. James Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Springhill Cemetery, Springhill, LA under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 05, 2014 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Bailey Funeral Home , Springhill, LA.

Mr. Beal was born on July 7, 1925 to Emmett Oscar and Icy Cloud Beal in Goldonna, LA and passed away on Monday, February 3, 2014 in Shreveport, LA. He was a US WW II Army veteran, retired from International Paper Company with 35 years of service, worked for Morton Thiokol Shell plant for13 years and then worked as a security guard for I.P. until his retirement. Mr. Beal was a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union Local 141 and Springhill Missionary Baptist Church. He loved camping, gardening, Square Dancing and fishing, most of all he loved his grand kids

He is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Wesson and husband, Jerry of Springhill, LA, Sharon Burt and husband, Harold of Springhill, LA; four grandsons, Jayson Wesson and wife, Wendy, Jeremy Wesson, Jody Beal, Marty Burt; great grandchildren, Sadie, Jace, Judd, Ericha; sister, Emmaline Dryden of Creston, LA and a host of nieces and nephews .

Mr. Beal was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Stella Bernice Beal; brother, Leo Beal and sisters, Katherine Gunter and Dorothy Jean Rowell.

Pallbearers will be David Nokes, Brad Nokes, Allen Misenheimer, Greg Roath, Andy Carraway and John King. Honorary will be his nephews.

The family wishes to express a special thank you to Dr. Michelle Pardue, Louisiana Home Care, Dr. Russell Felicca, Dr. Ashok Kompelli, the staff of Willis Knighton and Springhill Medical Center, and extended family and friends, especially Jean Franklin and Wayne and Mary King for their wonderful loving care. If Loyd Beal were alive today he would proudly tell you he and Bern were blessed with two wonderful sons-in-law, Jerry and Harold, that were always there in our time of need and love for our daughters.
