Mamie Di Stefano

SHREVEPORT, LA - Services honoring the life of Mamie Di Stefano, 102, will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 6, 2012, at St. Joseph Mausoleum. Officiating will be Father Charles Glorioso.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Rose-Neath Marshall Street Chapel with a vigil at 7:00 p.m. following the visitation.

Mamie was born November 11, 1909 in Shreveport, LA to Frank Tuminello and Rose Brocato and passed away Monday, July 2, 2012. The family thanks God for the long life of Mamie. She has truly been an inspiration to the family and her many friends. A member of The Cathedral of St. John Berchmans, she served her church faithfully. She loved her family dearly and loved to cook for them.

Her husband, Angelo Di Stefano; her parents, and her sister, Camille Rosso and son-in-law, A.J. Tuminello preceded Mamie in death.

Mamie is survived by her son, Louis Di Stefano and wife, Pat; daughter, Joyce Tuminello; grandchildren, Jeffrey Di Stefano; Louis Di Stefano, Jr. and wife, Gina; Sharon Gingles and husband, Sam; Pamela Seder and husband, Tim; seven great grandchildren and ten great- great grandchildren; and two sisters, Tina Di Stefano and Josephine Guercio.

The family would like to thank Jay M. Burkhart, Jr. and all of the staff and Colonial Oaks Guest Care Center.
