Tony Greco
SHREVEPORT, LA - Tony Greco passed away at the age of 102 years on July 3, 2012 after a brief illness. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Friday at Osborn's Funeral Home and a Vigil to follow at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will held Saturday at 10:00 am at the Cathedral of St John Berchmans. Monsignor LaCaze will be officiating the services. Entombment will follow at Centuries Memorial Cemetery.
Tony was a lifelong resident of Shreveport and a successful business man which included- retail grocer, insurance agent and numerous real estate investments. He was a former member of St Catherine's Catholic Church and most recently was a parishioner at The Cathedral of St. John's.
He was a Eucharist minister and usher at St Catherine's, was designated a Third and Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus, and was a past President and Board member of the Progressive Men's Club.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Constance Anne Greco, brother, Charles Greco, sister, Josephine Greco Maranto, brother, Joe Greco, and his parents Sam and Concetta Greco.
He is survived by his wife, of 73 years, Josephine Maranto Greco, son, Tommy Greco, daughter-in-law, Linda J. Greco, grandson, Tony S Greco, granddaughter, Lindsey Greco, daughter-in-law, Jessica Greco, and two great grandchildren, Callan Greco and Everett Greco. In addition, he is survived by his dearest sister Marie Greco Miciotto.
Honorary pallbearers will be, A.J. Miciotto, Sammy Maranto, Harold Boogaerts and Fred Wells.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to, Wanda Whitehurst, Sammy Maranto, Bridgette Tenore, Anna Livengood, Rose Vaugh ,Kassie Vaughn and the Christus Schumpert Hospice Nurses especially Chris.
