Tru was born April 28, 1931 in Martin, La. This is where she met the love of her life Bobby Rawls and on October 3, 2012, they celebrated 60 years of marriage. She began her career at Bellsouth in Shreveport and retired after 40 years of service. Tru continued to stay busy with her Family, Friends, and various organizations she belonged to. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Christian Women, Belle's Bakers Dozen, and "Out to Lunch Bunch". She was also an active member of Calvary Baptist Church for 42 years.
Tru was an Angel on earth and touched the lives of all that knew her. She had a compassion for others and lived her life unselfishly. She loved the Lord with all her heart and His light shined through her for all to see. God is now saying, "Well done thou good and faithful servant".
She is preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Q Lee Methvin; grandson, Casey; and three brothers, Melvin, W.T, and Luther Wayne. She is survived by her husband Bobby; Children: Steve and wife, Priscilla; Wayne and wife, Jennie; Brian; Renette and husband, Gregg Belcher; Rhonda and husband, Sean Fulgham; Brothers: Charles and wife, Sylvia; George and wife, Angie; Sister: Bobbie and husband, Alton (Sippi) Branch; Grandchildren: Chris Rawls; Sharye Belcher; Great-grandchildren: Sean Michael and Austin Fulgham; Kylee Rawls; Kelsey Rachel.
We were all blessed to have known such a special person and will miss her dearly.
